IFS : Innovation Fluides Supercritiques
Innovation Fluides Supercritique (IFS) is a technical center for supercritical and subcritical fluids. IFS combines a network of academic and industrial players with an R&D center.
Founded in 2006, IFS has become the French scientific and technical reference for the development of technologies using supercritical fluids.
IFS provides R&D services for companies and laboratories in the field of supercritical processes: monitoring, proof of concept, feasibility and optimisation studies, engineering, technical and economic studies and training.
Thanks to a multidisciplinary scientific team, IFS can respond to a wide range of processes using supercritical fluids: extraction, purification, cleaning, impregnation and material testing.
Your product is up-graded using supercritical CO2 in one of our facilities. Depending on the quantity of material available (a few g to several kg), it is treated in an autoclave with a suitable volume: 50-100-500mL, 2L or even 150L!
The study of the behaviour in the viewing cell completes the extraction tests in the pilots.
Supercritical Fluids
Supercritical fluids can be used to replace or minimise the use of chemical solvents (such as hexane), making them sustainable chemical processes. They cover a vast range of processes and applications that we use every day: textiles, plastics recycling, etc.

Since 2006, Innovation fluides supercritiques (IFS) has become a reference in the supercritical fluids sector.
IFS is located in the Rovaltain area, Valence Gare TGV (France).
