Expertise center on supercritical fluids

Founded in 2006, Innovation Fluides Supercritiques (IFS) brings together all those involved in supercritical fluids, and coordinates the network to promote these technologies. In 2009, in response to growing demand, IFS set up a technical center dedicated to helping companies understand and use supercritical fluids. Today, it offers a complete range of services in supercritical fluids .

The center of expertise is located in Valence (France), more precisely near the "Valence TGV Rhône-Alpes Sud" high-speed train station. This central and convenient location enables our team to easily meet and greet our customers and partners.

The facilities

Since its creation in 2009, the center of expertise has been carrying out research & development studies for its customers, implementing targeted technical trials according to the needs expressed. Today, it has a visualization unit and an extraction/impregnation unit, with processing capacities ranging from a few grams to several tens of kilograms. The equipment thus cover several levels of technological maturity (TRL), from fundamental research to pre-industrialization

The operational team

Our R&D experts come from a variety of technical backgrounds (agri-food, mechanics, materials, cosmetics, green chemistry, etc.), forming a multidisciplinary team capable of working in a wide range of sectors. The team also brings together all the skills required to respond to different needs, both in terms of technical issues and knowledge of the current market in supercritical fluids.

Collaborations

Our technical resources also enable IFS to take part in a number of collaborative projects . The center of expertise regularly hosts some of the partners in these projects to carry out tests using supercritical fluids. In addition to strengthening itslinks with actors from various sectors, participation in this type of project enables IFS to maintain in-house research activities. Indeed, the association has always maintained a strong commitment to innovation in its DNA.
